Pattern: Business Casual Socks by me!
Yarn: TFA Blue Label Fingering Weight Yarn in Lucky Penny.
Ravelry Project page here.

I've finished knitting my Business Casual socks! They are terrific. I would go on and on about how much I love this pattern, but since it's my own, that would probably be a little bit tacky. So I'll just let you all admire how nicely these socks fit on Chris' elegant feet and decide how great they are for yourselves.

The colourway I used is one of my new ones, Lucky Penny. If you click onto the Lucky Penny page on my website and read the colourway description you'll notice that I cannot hide how much I love this colour. It's very, very ME. I want to knit it in every base, for every project, I just can't get enough. I definitely have a Lucky Penny sweater in my future.

These socks are for Chris. He saw me working on them and kept commenting on how much he liked the colour (aren't we perfect for each other?) but didn't know that they were for him until I asked him to model them for me and told him that he could keep them. He seemed pleased. He didn't exactly do cartwheels over his new socks, but he did say that they were beautiful and that he loved them. That's enough for me.

I knit these as part of CelticCastOn's Business Casual KAL. Don't you just love a KAL to get you motivated to start and finish a project? Everyone knitting the same pattern at the same time, it's so much fun. I think another TFA KAL is in order. What would you guys like to knit with me next?

  1. Oooh, pretty! I love this colourway. The TFA yarns are always so beautiful- I'm sure I will be using them lots when I am no longer in large amounts of student debt ;)

I'm definitely in for another KAL1!

  6. Amazing socks, I'm glad Chris gets to keep them! A new TFA KAL- hmm. I think people are always excited about socks, or maybe a shawl/scarf/cowl KAL, to knit some new accessories for spring?

  7. That's a great colorway, and I'm glad Chris likes his new socks. I'll look forward to seeing what you make next for yourself in this colorway.

As for a KAL, I'm no help. With two JALs right now for Nat'l/Int'l Crochet month, I'm all JALed out for just a wee bit. :)

  8. Great socks!
I'd be in for a TFA KAL (I miserably failed the business socks one... I have about 2" on each socks so far!). My choice? The March Club shipment? A shawl? the Coolbreeze cardi? What ever... I want to knit them all ;)

  9. For the KAL, how about Adhara or Windward Hat or Ombre? I love those socks - I wonder if I could talk my husband into wearing them if I knit them. He wants plain dark socks and that is quite a commitment when they are not interesting to knit.

  10. I'm in the middle of a Baby Shane, and I just got my two infinity scarf kits. I could also do something with my many leftovers in TFA. Course, I'm always open to starting new projects too. Maybe a sock KAL?

  11. I recently purchased your Windward Hat pattern, so if that's what you pick for a KAL, it would be great timing for me (to get me going on that project!)

Your projects knit with Lucky Penny are stunning. And what a great name for the color (or even a little girl!)

  12. I'm knitting this pattern right now, and I adore it! It's so easy to memorize, and it looks positively charming in subtly variegated yarn. I am coveting that Lucky Penny colorway so hard now! It's so lovely.
